Osgiliath is secured on both sides of the river Anduin by Boromir, whilst Faramir is leading ambushes on small groups of reinforcements further east, in Ithilien. I quickly began focusing my militaristic attention eastwards, in preparations for the oncoming onslaught. Upon game start, Gondor is poor, widespread and with pretty much nothing resembling an army. So, I'm choosing Gondor with a long campaign, choosing Very Hard/Very Hard and accepting most of the challenge scripts, many of which affect Gondor especially. Now MOS is a compilation of multiple submods for the Third Age mod for Medieval II, and these submods add many new features to the vanilla mod, including things like better AI and challenge scripts, many of which are optional and selected on game start. Having played campaigns as both the Dwarves and the Free Peoples of Eriador before, I decided that this time, it was finally time to do a Gondor playthrough.
So, summertime is a time for the Lord of the Rings and the rest of Tolkien's legendarium for me.
